With 20 years of experience as a multicultural marketer, Valerie has a knack for developing big-picture strategies to expand distribution and notoriety for international clients on the U.S. market. As Vice President of Operations for Sopexa U.S.A. she works with collective organizations representing European wine and food regions and appellations, planning integrated programs that promote the products through various consumer and trade activations that play on intercultural education and appreciation. Over her ten years living here Valerie has become a recognized player in the American food and beverage industry, with a broad network of connections built up through her deep engagement with every tier of the trade.
Before moving to the U.S. Valerie spent a number of years in Japan, where she first established herself as an expert in European products and the cultural translation involved in promoting them on a foreign market. She has been awarded the Chevalier du Merite Agricole award for outstanding contribution to agriculture by the French Ministry of Agriculture and inducted into the Confrérie du Jambon de Bayonne.
A native of France, Valerie is a “foodie” who is always happy to be able to share her personal passion and knowledge at work. She lives in New York with her husband, who is Japanese, and their two children.
