Vinexpo New York Exhibitor Education

Vinexpo New York is collaborating with the Wine Business Institute at Sonoma State University (SSU) to produce an exhibitor education program focused on market entry into the US beverage alcohol market. SSU is a global leader in wine business education and research and brings a wealth of expertise to this project. The goal of the series is to help you navigate and better understand the complexities of working in the US market, and to better prepare you for exhibiting at Vinexpo New York.

This educational program will include exhibitor case studies, a webinar, and a series of reference materials covering a variety of topics ranging from the basics of the US market, to legal issues, and route to market strategies. The program will conclude with an exhibitor conference session produced by SSU and taking place at Vinexpo New York on Sunday, March 1.

Full details and instructions for accessing the materials and attending the exhibitor conference session will be sent to all confirmed exhibitors.

Details of the 2020 exhibitor conference session will be released in January. You can view details of the 2019 conference session below.

Opportunities, Obstacles and Options in the US Beverage Alcohol market

A panel of experts from the import, distribution, sales and education sectors will share their insights on entry and growth strategies for the US wine and spirits market. In order to navigate the complex US market, it is important to be informed and have a plan.  Our experts will present advice on preparing for entry into the market, brand readiness and developing a marketing plan.  They will also share tactics for finding importers and distributors and the criteria they look for in assessing new producers.  Rounding out the discussion will be tips on navigating regulations, and a summary of consumer preferences, demographics and national beverage alcohol trends. The session will also feature a Q&A period so attendees can ask questions.
